Hi-
I searched high and low trying to figure out how to get my computers
to boot g4u from a USB memory stick, wasting far more time than I
care to admit.
Seeing I figured it out, and it's sooo simple to do, I want to share
the info so it's archived for anyone else with the same problem:
To put a bootable copy of g4u on a USB memory stick (aka memory key
or thumb drive) copy the file 'g4ucd.fs' from the cd or extract
g4ucd.fs from the iso image, then run 'cat g4ucd.fs > /dev/sdb',
replacing '/dev/sdb' with the actual device name of your memory stick.
Make sure the computer's bios can boot from a memory stick and fire it up.
Since the g4ucd.fs image is just under 3 MB, you don't need a big
memory stick.
Now it would be really cool if we could get g4u to save the image
onto and load it off of a memory stick (the stick I'm using is 1 GB
and my compressed drive image is only ~250 MB).
